I used to do this a lot more often but have cut down tremendously to both save money and eat healthier in the morning BUT I still enjoy doing it every once in a while ❤️🫶🌿🌞 Yay Spring!! New life and sunshine! Welcome Spring!! ☀️😍🌿🌞 Delighted that it is warm enough to start bringing my breakfast and tea to the park! I have to admit that living in a city, winter has become a bit hard for me not being able to be in nature (aka my beloved Prospect Park) as much. Although there are plenty of tools to ease my nervous system that I use indoors (herbs, breathing, tapping etc), there is nothing quite like just being outside with the birds and the trees and the water 🫶 Also saw the first sproutlings appearing from the ground! As much as I enjoyed the snow this winter, I am excited to be back under the sun 🌞 Butterfly pea latte with rose foam and a dash of cloves 🦋🌹💙 Made with coconut-almond milk and rose and butterfly pea powders from Anima Mundi. Happy lunar new year! 🫶 To the year of the fire horse! 🔥🐎 Made my first homemade wreath using leftover Christmas tree branches and pine cones from my local park! Will try and forage for some berries to add in later on to make it a bit more festive. I really had a fun time making it and felt good to reuse tree parts. 🍍🌲🎍🍒 A little Mugwort Moon Magic from last month that I forgot to post! ✨️💚🫶 Created a dreaming intention ceremony with some mugwort tea, mugwort smudge, and journaling my intentions for that night's sacred dreaming. Dreams can be so powerful, providing us with insights, clues, messages, "heads ups" about the future, and more. And when we harness the power of intention, we can start to work consciously with our dream world, which I believe is no less real than our physical world, it's just in a different dimensional language. 🌿🔮✨️💎🗿🫖🍵💤💚🫶 Mugwort is a beautiful plant ally for this work. Whenever I drink mugwort tea before bed or intend to work with mugwort while sleeping, it's like a wise old woman who loves me is holding my hand as I sleep. Even if I am clearing something unpleasant in my dreams, when mugwort is with me, it feels different. I feel held and protected and also the dreams are (typically, not always) more real and vivid. It is also helpful for the menstrual cycle, a digestive bitter, and a lovely relaxant before sleep. She is also very grounding, which you might not expect from a dream herb. The slightly bitter earthy taste is very grounding and the plant consciousness of mugwort can help us integrate our dream messages into every day life and physical reality. In addition to tea, tincture, and smudge, you can also work with mugwort as a flower essence (available from Flower Essence Services). Impromptu mini fire cider yesterday when I realized I had all of the ingredients 🔥☕️🫶 Included: Organic red onion, ginger, orange, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme, lemon, clove, cinnamon stick, elderberries, apple cider vinegar 🌟 Came across this beautiful Reishi mushroom in the park the other day! I am looking to take a class on foraging, cleaning and preparing wild mushrooms so I can feel more confident in foraging but it was really cool to come across this powerful and ancient being! I've been mixing reishi into my herbal drinks for a while now and feel very attracted to its medicine. 🍄🌿😍 Beautiful, powerful, and majestic Evening Primrose flowers in the park near my house. So inspiring! I believe they only fully open at night and when making their essence, you are supposed to make it near dawn instead of in full sunlight. Soft, cozy morning time with tea, a book, and my sweet baby Bailey 😻
